February is such a bleagh time of the year isn’t it? Dull, dull, dull. Even your mouth feels bored!
We can fix that! Why not try a food lovers’ weekend in Stony Stratford and get some taste bud excitement going?
There are some fantastic restaurants in this neck of the woods. In Stony Stratford, home to the Butterfly Loft, we are well served with Thai, Indian, Turkish, Italian, Greek and French restaurants, plus stacks of cafes, all an average of two minutes’ walk from the front door.
And there are new eating options opening every month across the city. Your mouth need never be bored!
Take January. Last month we saw the arrival of New Day, an independent café in the centre of Milton Keynes. New Day is in Ashton House on Silbury Boulevard, open from 8am to 3pm and is owned by Amy from Lucky Spoon.
For those who love the oriental we now have a new sushi bar, Legend One Sushi Bar, near Sainsbury’s. It serves sushi as well as traditional Chinese dishes.
Shane and Aaron Clarke (The Brother’s Supper) have opened a new restaurant, Twenty Out of Ten. It’s excellent if you want something a little more upmarket without an outrageous price tag. The ingredients are locally sourced, and the menus change weekly. Find it at Fourth & Fifth.
Heading south to Woburn Sands, The Whisk Kitchen & Bar has eventually opened (it’s taken a while), but they are now open and serving fabulous pancakes and cocktails.
And finally, in this crop of delicious must-tries, Oleevo Pizza in Broughton has recently reopened with a new menu and indoor seating. They still do takeaway, but they’ve made it cosier and added more dishes like pasta to the menu.
Whether you’re travelling on business, on holiday or just catching up with friends and family, try a delicious food lover’s weekend (or week!) at The Butterfly Loft. Booking accommodation in Milton Keynes couldn’t be easier.
