Billy Whizz Soup

In 2016 27,000 people between the ages of 15 and 60 from 22 countries were asked about their home cooking habits. India is the nation most in love with creating meals from scratch, with an average of 13 hours per week cooking. Britain came 13th, spending a below-average 5.9 hours a week in the kitchen.

Well, you don’t have to spend hours on cooking to cook and eat well, as my Billy Whizz soup proves. Billy Whizz soup is one of my favourite inventions because although I love good fresh food, I’m always in madly busy. But the prep time on this is so super-speedy that I can make it while I’m doing breakfast for the family in the morning – it’s really that simple!

This is another slow cooker favourite. Just chop up your ingredients in the morning, turn on, leave – and come home to the most gorgeous smelling dinner.
